Two new pieces just finished. These pieces explore the emergence into the void that is created through separation or that exist between spaces. The void that is both empty and full. The delicate geometric structure marks the transient events that take place between moments, times and places.

These pieces are work in progress. I have about 8 pieces going on in different stages. After about 20 – 30 layers, the background is finished.

Once the background is ready, each layer of translucent paint in subtle pale color is applied one day at a time as the paint needs time to dry.  The process is slow; however, it requires me to focus on each task, not unlike the practice of meditation.
